HSC is proud to welcome approximately 50 international students annually to our Senior School. Together with an additional 430 local students, they strive for excellence in the academic and co-curricular rigour required to best prepare them for post secondary success in Canada, the United States and abroad.
With classes for students from 18 months to Grade 12, our 45 acre campus houses four schools: a Montessori School up to age 9, a Junior School up to Grade 4, a Middle School up to Grade 8, and a Senior School offering Pre-9 Foundation Year up to Grade 12.
Students coming without parents or a legal guardian are only admitted into our Senior School and are directed to local homestay services who are aware of the needs of our amazing students.

HSC Achieves Excellence at NHSMUN
From March 5-9, the elite segment of the HSC Model United Nations team competed at the National High School Model United Nations (NHSMUN) conference in New York City, New York. Every March, NHSMUN hosts 3,000 participants from 150 schools and over 20 countries to represent their assigned delegations in simulated committee meetings and plenary sessions. The conference brings together a worldwide student body and offers an opportunity to experience the theory and practice of international relations firsthand.
This is the largest, most esteemed Model United Nations conference in North America, and opening and closing ceremonies are held in the UN General Assembly chamber.
We are delighted to report that the HSC team had an amazing conference. This year’s achievements included an Award of Distinction (1st place), and 2 Awards of Excellence (2nd place).
Simulations such as NHSMUN teach participants about the United Nations and the international community through intensively researched debate with their peers in a setting moderated by students from the most elite universities.
NHSMUN attracts distinguished speakers including Professor Jeffrey Sachs, Ambassador Joseph Melrose, Regional Director of Amnesty International Joshua Rubenstein, Counsellor for the World Bank Yuvan A. Beejadhur, Professor Gregory H. Stanton of Genocide Watch and George Mason University, and professionals from Kiva.
Congratulations to all our HSC delegates, advisors and staff on a successful conference!
